Astral Piloting

"Within the astral lies a myriad of realms and mysteries, and to merely enter is but the first step. To truly embrace its wonders, one must learn the art of transport, for it is in movement that we unlock the plane's deepest secrets and infinite horizons." — Bisset, Mystic Praxis

Once you are able to project into the astral plane, you'll next want to learn how to move around. Otherwise you'll just be stuck hovering over your body. But, for the first few times of using this technique focus on being competent at maneuvering around rather than going any specific place.

1. Orientation:

   - Start by projecting yourself within the astral realm. Look around and take note of your surroundings. The astral plane can be disorienting, with fluid landscapes and shifting realities. It is better to take a bit of time and get orientated especially at the beginning.

   - Remember the silver cord that connects your astral form to your physical body. This is your anchor, ensuring you won't get lost.

2. Intention Setting:

   - Know where you want to go or what you want to achieve. The astral plane responds to thought and intention more than physical action.

   - Visualize your destination or purpose clearly in your mind.

3. Movement through Thought:

   - Understand that movement within the astral plane is not like our physical world. Instead of walking or running, you move by directing your thoughts and intentions.

   - Think of where you wish to go, and allow your astral form to be drawn to that location or entity.

4. Avoiding Obstacles:

   - Always approach unfamiliar territories or beings with caution.

   - If you encounter an obstacle, remember that the astral plane is malleable. Use visualization to create pathways or to modify the environment.

5. Seek Guidance:

   - Your familiar also will exist in the astral plane. Since they are from another plane they are already familiar with the astral plane and are comfortable being there. Their help can be invaluable.

6. Stay Focused:

   - Distractions and drifting thoughts can lead you astray. Maintain a clear focus on your intentions and destination. If you find yourself veering off course, pause and reorient.

7. Returning to Your Body:

   - When ready to return to your body, visualize it clearly. Allow the pull of your silver cord to guide you back. You'll also notice a change in the underlying resonant frequency as you become attuned to this world's frequency

The astral plane, as Bisset taught, is a realm of consciousness and intention. Thus, your mindset and clarity of purpose play crucial roles in navigating it.
